What a great weekend! We had 12 friends come visit from New York as part of a yearly tradition during Winterlude. We've always had the pleasure of Kyle, Vanessa and the kids staying at our place, with the rest of the clan spread amongst Alex's family. This year our kids played really well together, infact McKenzie and Portia found a new found common love...makeup. And not only makeup but expensive makeup. While we weren't watching, they helped themselves to whatever they could get their little hands on. They tried to walk by as if no one would notice their little clown faces. Too cute but I'm afraid this is a foreshadow of what's to come. Connor (McKenzie's older brother) has really turned into a typical boy (teasing his sister, playing video games). He's actually a really good kid with a permanent smile. Oh yeah, except for when the cops showed up at my sister-in-law's place after he decided to call 911 as a joke, and then almost pooped his pants. Yeah, I don't think he'll be doing that again. The cops were really good about it. I guess it happens often. Kids, what can you do? I guess playing Knicky Knicky Nine Door no longer satisfies the curiousity within. Well, we are really looking forward to visiting with our friends over the summer period, infact they seemed so excited about it that it sounds like they have it all planned out. It's always nice to have something to look forward to, New York Pizza and did someone say Cheesecake?!
