Update - Friday, June 12th

We were told that the child dossier was sent to the DIA (Department of International Adoption) two weeks ago. The agency is hoping to hear any day that it has arrrived and been cleared, and then they can book our tickets. Apparently, the DIA, with its new Director, is being very difficult. The dossier now goes to the Minister of Justice and is registered, then to the Director, the vice-Director, the person who reviews it, and then back up the line again. Our agency says that they won't tell them where the dossier is in this process. Although our agency has families there in Vietnam now, whom they booked knowing that the dossier had been sent, as they usually do, these ones are still waiting for their ceremony. These children are at an orphanage that allows parents to have their children with them before the ceremony. Unfortunately our orphanage does not. They still believe that we should hear word this month.
