Sarena - We'll be getting home in time before you leave for your own wonderful holiday. As for the rain, we are getting lots of rain here too, but it's a lot different from the rain we know. Alex and I got caught in one of their regular downpours today for a total of about 30 seconds and were soaked from head to toe. The best way to describe it is to stand under a regular shower head with your clothes on. All we were missing was soap and shampoo.
Dan - Thanks Dan. It's been enjoyable keeping in touch with everyone. Technology...what would we do without it. Franca says that she doesn't mind Branko wearing makeup (for the KISS concert) as long as he's not wearing her clothes. Portia says thank you for the message and that she misses you. Alex is trying to keep the Austin Powers look alive so he has no intentions of shaving his shag. Italy, good for you. We are all jealous! Yes, we will definitely squeeze in a visit before. We are still hoping to make it to Jeremy's reception since it will morning time for us. BTW, Alex says he has a faxed confirmation of the volunteer forms that were sent. As well, Bob has a copy of these as well.
Julia & Helder - Hey Guys! No we aren't trying to go with a Michael Jackson look. The reason Reuben has socks on his hands (or had) is because he had a rash on his body and we didn't want him scratching. Oooh, that's nasty about the eggs. I think Sophie's boyfriend was telling us about that. So far we haven't been overly adventurous in our choice of foods. We've seen some interesting things. Ducks, chickens hanging in windows. It's true the Vietnamese are open to many things. We were speaking to our tour guide and he has tried just about everything...snake, turtle, dog. Some people even eat monkey.
